A Standing Ovation for the Rosy Thompson Academy of Dance

Following the incredible success of last year’s performance, we were beyond thrilled to return for a second year to the iconic Greenwood Theatre at London Bridge for our Summer Show 2025. With two sold-out shows on a sunny London day, the excitement and sheer talent displayed on stage made this one of our most memorable performances to date.

My brilliant creative team—Mollie, Siana, Lauren, Nina, Lucy, Rethea and Florence—choreographed some of their finest work to date, with every piece thoughtfully curated and beautifully brought to life. The feedback has been overwhelming, and we’re so grateful for the kind words and support shared by our RTAD family!

A Year of Achievements
This show was the perfect way to celebrate what has been another action-packed and inspiring year at RTAD. We’re proud to now have over 250 pupils from across London and beyond, taking weekly classes in all aspects of dance and performing arts.

Here are just a few highlights since our last summer showcase in June 2024:

Competition Excellence
At the start of the academic year, our dancers competed in the IDTA Classical Ballet, Modern Jazz and Tap Southeast Awards, where Missy Trethewey claimed 1st place in the Intermediate Jazz category. A fantastic achievement!
Outstanding Exam Results
Across our IDTA and LAMDA exam sessions in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Musical Theatre and LAMDA, our students achieved a 100% pass rate, with 99% attaining Distinctions. Special congratulations to Coco Chung, who has been nominated for the IDTA Theatre Awards 2026 in Advanced 1 Ballet – an honour reserved for the top 100 Ballet performers across the UK and Europe!
Education & Scholarships
We continue to support our students beyond the dance floor. This year, we were thrilled to see pupils secure a dance and drama scholarship to Queen’s College London, as well as unconditional places at Arts Educational, one of the UK’s leading performing arts schools.
West End & Screen Success
With London’s theatre district on our doorstep, we are super excited to announce the following success stories:
Eira Kay was cast as Alice Creel in the West End production of Stranger Things
Sienna Moosah landed the role of Lavender Brown in the upcoming HBO Harry Potter series

As we look ahead, we’re excited to announce the launch of our very own Talent Agency later this year, offering even more opportunities for those seeking professional experience. Keep an eye on our website for audition details!
